Last weekend, Teva was present at Protest Cable Call 2012 at Down Under Cableway in The Netherlands—the 3rd out of the 5 stops in the WWA WorldSeries. Teva wakeskaters, Geert Nielen and Tim van Dortmond were on-site showing off their skills in the Pro Wakeskate discipline. Wakeboarders, Lior Sofer, Ricky Lukassen and Daan Rigter were also there to wow the crowd.
The weekend was wet, but packed with action on the water and on the beach. Lior Sofer, Geert Nielen and Tim van Dortmond hit some awesome tricks in their qualification run and made the cut to the semi finals on Sunday. Ricky Lukassen and Daan Rigter didn’t make the cut but made up for it in spirit on Saturday night during the Feelgood Music Festival. What a party it was!
All weekend Teva was present with a photo and t-shirt booth on the beach, giving the crowds the opportunity to be the athlete in a Teva Ad and to create their own a customized t-shirt. Having it signed by the Teva Riders made the day of some future stars complete!
Competition at the WWA Series is strong, even a small mistake can cut riders out the next round of competition. Tim was the only rider making the final cut to the finals and finished at a 4th place in the Pro Wakeskate division.
Despite the two days with unstable weather, Protest Cable Call was a blast for all athletes, spectators and accompanying brands. Good times with friends and action on the water, what else you want?
