Camping, being at one with nature, is a somewhat religious experience. So it only makes sense to bring a similarly spirited ale along for the journey. Meet your brew guru (your brew-ru, if you will): Abbey Ale.
This double ale from Abita pays homage to medieval monks who lived simply from the earth and mastered the brew. A cloudy amber color with an aroma of fruit, caramel and clove, this beer starts off sweet (kind of like corn) and finishes on a slightly sour note.
Abita suggests you pair it with barbecued anything or something chocolate, and I wouldn’t mind sipping on one of these with some charbroiled chicken. Cheers to the monastic legacy!
